Getting on that healthy trend : Mango Smoothie Recipe

Is it me or are more people actually trying to make an effort on being healthy and living healthy? No, just me? Well, I suppose I'm on of those people.  I'm trying to make an effort of eating clean and stop eating out so much. I've came to the conclusion that I have a coffee problem...specifically the one from Starbucks. I know, I know. Anyways, instead of going every morning and spending money on an overpriced Caramel Macchiato, I'm getting into the art of juicing/blending. Here is my first SUCCESSFUL concoction: A mango smoothie. It's very easy to make and delicious!

What you'll need:

-2 Cups of Frozen (Optional) Mango
-1 Cup of Squeezed Orange Juice
-1/2 a cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
-1 Whole Banana
-1 Cup of Ice cubes (Optional)

Then, put everything in your blender until it's completely blended and no chunks of ice or frozen mango are visible.

Ta-dah! Your end result. I made about 1 Cup and a half and it was by far the best smoothie I have made so far. So for the next month or so, I'm going to try replacing coffee with a smoothie or juice instead.

I want to Dance...

I want to Dance...

Is it too early to start thinking about Fall? I think not! I'm not going to lie, I'm sick and tired of the HEAT! I can't wait to bundle myself in sweaters and scarves...if it ever gets that cold. Le sigh.

A leopard's sure shot

Who doesn't love leopard? This time, my mom asked me to do her nails...specifically including hints of leopard. Essie's Sure Shot is such a beautiful magenta color that looks great on everyone. The accent nail is so easy to accomplish; all I used was a dotting tool. Basically, you just dab random dots onto the nail with the nail polish brush. Then, with the dotting tool, you create the leopard pattern and tah-dah! You're done! Great for valentines day!

Unif Hellraisers- 7/14/12

You guys, you guys! I finally got my hellraisers in the mail, yesterday evening! Oh man, I was so excited when that FedEx guy came (I totally looked like crap).  Also, I have been researching these shoes and looking at review forever and a day now...I know from a couple of reviews that they are starting to sell another version of them that don't look like they're 100% leather.  I order my pair from soulstruck.com and they have the very original ones there for sure.  I ordered them in a size 8 and I normally use an 8.5 and they fit perfectly and are confortable.  You'll definetly get complimetns from these bad boys quite often.
Peace out! lol

DIY: Bracelet Holder + nails of the day- 7/26/12

 What you'll need:

  • CD holder
  • Cardboard paper roll
  • Spray paint (whichever color you prefer)
  • Glue gun

So as you can see in first picture, that is how I used to store all of my arm candy.  Yeah, it was about to overflow so I decided to make something that can easily hold a fair amount of bracelets.  I opted to make something that you can easily find around the house and it was definitely easy to make.  So first of all, you spray paint the CD holder and the cardboard paper roll with which ever color you desire.  Make sure you're somewhere ventilated for health purposes.  Leave them to dry for a good couple of hours outside.  After they are fully dry, it you want, you can cut it to whatever length you want.  Then,  get your glue gun or super glue and glue the bottom to the CD holder.  Let that dry for a couple of hours as well.  Finally, you can put all of your bracelets and have an easy way to store them.  Hope you guys try this simple DYI :)
See ya' Later,

P.S

I just wanted to show you my recent nails.  It's Essie's Eternal Optimist and a simple black nail polish to create my funky looking flower.

P.S, P.S,
(I had this post in my other blog but since it pretty my pictures got deleted I just decided to transfer it to this one instead.  I will also be transferring my Unif review post.)

Heaven at the beach

So I finally bought some nail tools this weekend and decided to play around with them and pretty much came up with this. I used both of Essie's Mint Candy Apple and Sand Tropez and added some gold detailing as well. It's nothing too fancy but I'm trying to get up there. Practice makes perfect, right?
